The Oneida Daily Dispatch, LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of Vernon will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 6:45 p.m. at the Vernon Town Hall, 4305 Peterboro Road, Vernon, New York, to consider a proposal to change the zoning of an approximately 1.5 acre parcel of land located on the north side of NYS Route 5 in the Town of Vernon formerly owned by BMK, LLC, contiguous with and on the southwesterly corner of the lands of Moteloc, LLC, currently used to operate the Utica-Rome Speedway, LLC. The 1.5 acre parcel in question is designated on the Tax Maps of the County of Oneida as Parcel No. 324.000-1-67 and is now occupied by a structure formerly operated as the Tombstone Saloon. The parcel is currently zoned Agricultural. The Town Board will consider changing the zoning to Planned Development Entertainment and Tourism District (PDET). The rezoning of this 1.5 acre parcel to Planned Development Entertainment and Tourism District (PDET) is intended to facilitate the development of the Utica-Rome Speedway now principally located on a parcel of approximately 100+ acres and designated as Tax Parcel Nos. 324.000-1-66.1 and 63.1. The parcel will be used in conjunction with the current Utica-Rome Speedway use. The environmental significance of the proposed amendment will be reviewed at said public hearing. All persons interested in this matter will be heard at the aforesaid time and place. BY ORDER OF THE TOWN BOARD, TOWN OF VERNON. Dated: June 25, 2014
